Company type: Construction
Trenport Investments Limited was established in 1976, since when it has established an enviable track record of promoting successful commercial, residential and industrial developments on predominantly brownfield land throughout the UK.
Trenport presently has two major projects under way in Kent. The first is the highly successful Eurolink business park at Sittingbourne where development commenced in the mid 1970s. The estate, the largest of its type in Kent, is now entering its fifth and final phase of development.
The second project is the provision of the infrastructure for the Peters Village housing development on the eastern bank of the River Medway near Wouldham. This new village in the heart of the Medway Valley is on the site of a former cement works and its attendant quarries.
Planning permission was granted in 2006 but in the subsequent year the scheme was shelved, following the start of the UK recession, for a six year period. During this time Trenport maintained a high level of onsite stewardship, working in partnership with the highly respected Kent Wildlife Trust to secure the future of rare flora and fauna such as the increasingly rare Great Crested Newt, several bat species and various butterflies.
