Residents consulted over transport plans

Tue 13 July 2010, 3:19 pm

Medway residents are being asked for their opinions on the future of the area’s transport provision.
Over the next 12 weeks Medway Council is seeking feedback on the new Local Transport Plan (LTP), which runs from 2011 to 2026.
A series of exhibitions will be held in libraries and shopping centres from July to September this year, where people can give their thoughts on public transport services, cycle routes, public footpaths and what can be done to improve congestion and access to services.

Medway Council’s portfolio holder for front line services Councillor Phil Filmer said: "Transport is an issue that impacts on everything we do, so it is vital everyone has the chance to have their input, at a time when transport projects must offer good value for money."
