A £1.9 million development has delivered 20 new homes in Gillingham.
The mhs homes Richmond Road scheme saw a block of 16 one-bedroom apartments and four two-bedroom houses built on the site of a disused factory. The scheme, designed by BHD Architects and developed by Chartway, also includes a 200sq m communal area.
The factory, which had been empty for years, was pulled down in 2008. Work at the new development started in January 2015 and was completed in April 2016.
The scheme includes houses and flats to be marketed as affordable.
Ashley Hook, chief executive of mhs homes, said they were “very proud” of the new homes, “and [we] hope that our residents are very happy there”.
