Nearly 97.5% of children in Medway have been offered a place at one of their preferred secondary schools for September 2016.
Families across the area started receiving news of the schools offered to their children during National Offer Day on 1 March 2016.
Of the 3,008 children offered places, around 84.5% secured their first choice, and about 9.5% their second preference.
Mike O'Brien, portfolio holder for children’s services, said: "I’m very happy that a vast majority of children have been offered one of their top preference places. I’d like to wish all the children the very best for the future and hope they go on to work hard and achieve great things as they take the big step up to secondary school.”
