Developer Countryside's Horsted Park residential scheme in Chatham has won a housing design award.
The Housing Design Awards 2014 ceremony took place on 15 July at the London School of Economics, with six winners selected from 22 entires, recognising the highest quality development schemes across the country.
The project features a mix of three and four-bedroom houses, set in 2.6 ha of open space and parkland.
Tony Travers, managing director of the new homes and communities division at Countryside, said: “Horsted Park sets the standard for creating a place of character and quality. The development has been designed to the highest standards to suit a variety of purchasers from first-time buyers, right through to extra care housing, because we wanted to create a place where people will feel at home.
“Winning the Housing Design Award validates what we set out to achieve with Horsted Park and the team at Countryside is delighted these wonderful homes have been recognised.”
