Medical Supplies distributor Henry Schein has been given the green light to build a storage and distribution centre on land at Gillingham Business Park.
It said the centre, on the site of the former Gordon Barracks, could eventually host more than 300 staff.
Medway Council’s planning committee approved the firm’s proposals for a two-phase development of a 9,801 sq metre distribution and warehouse centre and a 2,403 sq metres of offices.
Schein’s application also included 156 parking spaces and landscaping at the Bailey Drive site.
Councillors passed the application, subject to around 30 conditions and Section 106 planning gain contributions totalling roughly £46,000.
