Residents at Medway's Riverside Quarter, developed by Countryside Properties, benefit from "blue space", according to research by professor Michael Depledge, indicating those living by water enjoy an improved quality of life.

Research was carried out as part of Depledge’s Blue Gym project in 2012, which studied the health and wellbeing benefits of aquatic environments.

The two bedroom apartments at Riverside Quarter all include views of the River Medway, as well as spaciously designed open-plan living, dining and kitchen space.

Tony Travers, managing director of the new homes and communities division of Countryside Properties said: "The results of Professor Depledge’s research demonstrate the positive impact that living by the water has to people’s health and wellbeing.

"The apartments at Riverside Quarter enjoy amazing views for people to relax and unwind watching the river itself, and there are water sports facilities nearby for the many people who enjoy sailing and windsurfing on the river."
