Medway housing association mhs homes has been awarded the "gold" standard in the prestigious Investors in People (IIP) awards.
The association won “silver” accreditation in 2011 and opted to be assessed for the highest level of people-management practice for 2012.
Chief executive Ashley Hook said the gold award, which was presented at a ceremony in December, was emblematic of employees drive to better themselves and the organisation.
"We are absolutely thrilled to have achieved this Gold rating from Investors in People,” he said.
“This is a testimony to our hard-working dedicated staff and their commitment to continuous improvement."
Colin McCarthy, head of human resources, said mhs was a forward-thinking organisation that achieved business success by the application of visionary leadership behaviour, underpinned by strong and meaningful values.
"We were first accredited with IIP in 2006,“ he said.
“Since then the framework for IIP has changed.
“This year we chose to go for the most rigorous assessment possible to enable us to learn as much as possible about our performance to help us further improve."
