£9 million amassed for for social regeneration

Alongside Medway's physical regeneration, there's a multi-million-pound social regeneration programme.
Together with Medway Council's Housing Services, the Social Regeneration Service has attracted £9 million of external funding which is being used to help disadvantaged neighbourhoods and local unemployed residents.
This includes access to up to £5 million from a new raft of employment support programmes: Employ Medway, Future Jobs Fund, REIGNITE and Flexible New Deal. A further £1 million has been secured to encourage better community cohesion in the Luton and All Saints areas of Chatham.
